Slippin and a Slidin' & Fishing (again)

Last year was the first year we had our huge family Slippin' Slide but I wasn't able to go, so I made sure this year I would be able to and it was a blast! I have like more then 80 people in my family and I think that maybe all but 10 didn't make it. It was hilarious but scary to watch the little kids go down, they could never get out of the way in time so the adults would nail them on there way down and it was no soft hit, they were hard! but no one got seriously hurt just a few tears now and then.

My Nephews

The following day we left for our trip to Fishlake...I will just tell you I suck at packing, this is my first time not having my mom to pack for me so I was a little nervous..I had a reason to be nervous after I got there, realizing I forgot everything from flashlights to my husbands pj's. (poor thing had to were my tight pj's and cheer sweater, just dont look lower then the waist ha!) I forgot the chicken that I was supposed to bring for the whole family, my mom had to cover me for that...and I cant even begin to think of everything else I forgot. The first night it was just me and Jason all alone, I didn't even end up falling asleep until 4 in the morning because of my fear of bears and whatever else out there that was ready to pounce on me! Jason did a great job of comforting me though. The next morning we got up at 6 to go fishing in our little aluminum boat we rented, I caught the only trout fish of the whole trip. That same day the rest of our family showed up and we went on a huge four wheeler ride, talk about DUSTY! I looked like a racoon after I took my sunglasses off, but it was a very fun ride..we went to the creek after words to wash off and it was freezing! I just had to laugh because Jason was screaming like a girl...I got in and I couldn't tell if the shampoo was out of my hair because my hands were so numb! On saturday we rented a pontoon boat for the day and didn't catch a thing..only stupid little perchs I swear we had to of catched around 15 or 20 of those suckers..not a trout in site. It was funny because that night all the little kids got in the shower in my sisters trailer and so shane ( my nephew) had seen all the little naked bodies so when I got in he was laying on his bed and his mom asked what he was thinking about and he said "oh just wondering what megan looks like naked" ahh!! ha ha I just had to laugh. We had a very fun trip and I am glad all my family decided to come up.

Were Baacckkk...

Well maybe I am just being over dramtic about the whole driving experience to Montana but for my sake I will say one more time....I was seriously like freaking out!!

We went up to Billings, Montana this week for the NILE show. Its a pro rodeo and livestock show that is held there every year. This year was the first year that we were able to go up there and they took Grand Champion Heifer (yeah us!) and 10th overall with the Steer out of 70 steers. Seriously this may all seem weird but my life is filled with steers and cows thats what my life consist of just to let you know...yeah weird. But we had alot of fun up there and I love spending all that time with my husband:)

Bored+hotel=old stud

Imagine driving in that..okay it really was alot worse is person I swear!

Montana=death trap

Seriously you should have seen the roads we had to drive on to get there. We left at 10:00 yesterday and didn't get here until 12:00 last night, what was supposed to be a 9 hour drive turned into a 14 hour drive of sure stress and probably alzers, I was freaking out seriously like I cant even explain to you. There were white outs a couple of times and we had to pull off to the sides and put flashers on and if you know how I am I cant handle this kind of stress it would have been nice if I could have slept but I dont know what it is I guess I feel a little more safe if I can keep my eyes glued on the road. After we passed through Livingston I guess there was a huge wreck behind us, a truck and trailer jack knifed and a 10 car pile up happened after that, and they closed the roads going both ways because it was to dangerous, all I can say is whew!! glad we made it through....more to come when we get back from Montana..

Texas Trip

So I am just catching up on my blog with things I have done this year so some of them will be from awhile ago. In April we went on a trip to Texas with my Sister, Brother-in-law and there kids. We had alot of fun and did so many different things. After going through security at the airport and boarding the plane my husband turns to me and realizes that his hunting knife is still on his carry on, and let me remind you that we had been through security already, so the first thing I tell him when we get to the hotel is to put it in his other bag, well going through the security the second time was not as successful let me tell you he didn't remember to move it and the San Antonio airport caught it, it was kind of embarrassing having the police come over and raid his bag!. I think we only almost got killed about twice once when jason ran a complete red light, and yes I am exaggerating when I say we almost got killed this time because I was not even in the car but my sister and them might have almost been killed because travis drove on the wrong side of the road there, there highways were alot different then here. We went to Six Flags, The San Antonio Temple, The River Walk, The Alamo, and The USS Lexington...they were all tons of fun! here are a few pictures from the trip ( and really this is only a few )

Just before going to the USS Lexington

One off the Airplanes they use to land on the USS Lexington during WWII

Coming up on the USS Lexington, it was SO big inside I dont even remember but we went on like 8 different levels and I honestly think there were about 4 or more levels to go. After I knew that we were under water me and my sister got a little scared and decided to make our way to the top while the boys went a little farther. It had everything inside including dentist and barber shops...and anything else you can imagine.

This was the propeller, the ship had 4 of them to move it!

The view outside are condo

It was alot colder then both of us thought but it was still fun just because
its a beach

Building sand castles at the Corpus Christi Beach

Just had to add this in because I think its funny how little boys will and
can pee anywhere!

As soon as you got out that far you got attacked by sea weed! they said it was
because of the time of year.

Along the river walk (so neat)

This was in front of the Alamo...Doesn't it look different then in other
pictures, to me it does. They always look smaller in real life

Jason at Six Flags in Texas ( I just put this on because I though it looked cute:))
