Peanuts Graduation

Yesterday my little sister graduated from High School..I cant believe how old both of us are getting. Growing up me and her were literally glued to the hip, we had such big imaginations and did everything we could do together..making up so many new games and having so many laughs. It seemed that once we got to highschool {maybe I became a brat} but we grew apart. I regret those years I spent, spending more time with my friends then my sister. The last couple months I actually feel like our selfs again, and its nice. I love spending time with her, she is such a happy person all the time and so bubbly, although she may be a ditz sometimes I love it and I love to laugh with her. Good Luck Elisa with college!

And its done..Almost

I am sure most of you have already predicted that this will either be about the cows or the house..since that is pretty much what my life has been consumed of. It is a post about the {HOUSE} but hopefully it will be one of the lasts, I am sure your sick of it and so am I.

{Before}

{After}

{After+ a little decorating}

{Before}

{After}
Of course there are alot more things I would like to do, but I think that it will always be that way, so of right now I am content with how it turned out and glad that I have finally gone through some of are last boxes from moving.

The MOVE...

...Was horrible. We started packing and scrubing down every corner, wall, base boards you name it...at 8 in the morning and didn't get done until 11 that night, what a long day. My parents came down to help so that we didn't have to make another trip down to Ephraim..{Warning! this story may hold content you dont want to hear} Well me jason have this little thing called are { sex drawer } You no what it contains. I cleaned this out first ON PURPOSE, I didn't want them to see anything. My mom and dad began cleaning up are room with the vaccumm and moving around the dresser drawers and next thing I hear is them laughing there heads off, oh great I already knew what they have discovered...condoms..well there wrappers. That means they were used which means we had been doing the deeds. Men need to learn to pick up there crap! I am just glad they didn't find the whole drawer. After getting everything packed we headed out and not even 5 miles after leaving I look ahead just in time to see my vanity in the back of my dads trailor tip over and what I think {Almost fly out} not really but it did tip over. I just kept thinking crap any second this vanity is going to be on the road and I am going to mow it over. I didn't.

So as of this moment we are staying at are in laws house. Its a little upsetting {well alot} because we were told it would be done wednesday so we could just move in, when that didn't happen it was supposed to be done this weekend, well thats not going to happen its suppose to be done next weekend {we cross our fingers} it just gets a little fraustrating when its suppose to be done and its not. I just want to be able to get in there and decorate and unpack already, it gets hard trying to find your cloths and having to dig everywhere just to find your shoes or your toothbrush for that matter. I'm ready to be moved in already.

The First Of Many

Many months ago my mom informed me of the 5K run she was in charge off. I agreed to run {I figured it would give me the motive to get out there and really work out and build my way up to that 3 mile mark}. I didn't get around to training, lets just say that. I have never in my life ran 3 miles {I know, I know}. My mom was counting on me and also my sister-in-law. I figured I would just tell them I was going and then not really do it because I hadn't been running at all. Well you can see I never said no...and I am glad I didn't. We ran it in around 33 mins and it felt so good to actually make it in that time and to the finish. Although my hips, knees and ankles are more sore then I think I have ever felt, I am going to keep up this running and hopefully next time I can do it in 30 mins.

The life of a farmer...

...or the farmers wife. or the story of OUR lifes as farmers.

Jason has recently just picked up another hobby. A.I.ing {artificial insemination} We set out early saturday morning to A.I. the cows. Jason got a little fraustrated with the first couple trys..he broke the metal insert thingy in half {anger issues..maybe?} but from there on out he did wonderful.

Herding the cows {thats the scary part}

Getting all suited up to..enter

Almost ready......sorry for the graphic picture but thats what he does {goes inside and oh my is it nasty in real life}

What a stud muffin

The whole crew

Jason thought this was funny {I am really sorry again for the graphic pics}

Bodys covered in poo, sunburnt faces and necks, tired and hungary, bruised knees.. but it was such a wonderful day. I love being a farmer. Today that is.

Dying eggs

Tonight me and Jason finally sat down and dyed some eggs..it only took us 4 days after actually boiling the things. {How long do eggs last boiled?}

Jason was funny to watch..he called it his own concoction but really it was just a mess of all sorts of colors...some came out looking like poo brown and green. He kept saying "Look at mine its going to be the prettiest." and then he would pull it out, give them the look like {what the heck did I just create} and then having hopes that the next one to come out might just be that pretty one. I did one with the white crayon and drew swirls on it, he thought that was neat and decided he would surprise me with an egg that read Jason + Megan ..well he cant write his own wife's name ha ha it said Jason + Megen...he better learn real soon that you cant be making mistakes like that this far into a marriage! He didn't even think he spelt it wrong!

Dont mind the messy hair we were in our pj's

Slowly But Surely

I realize that I haven't posted for awhile but this house has sure took up a lot of any spare time, so it looks like that's what I might be writing about for the next coming weeks. Sorry.
We finally got rid of the ugly poo carpet in the house..which I am excited about, there is just something refreshing about the smell of new carpet and paint {not that we are to that point yet in the project but it will be exciting} I have learned alot of new things, take for instance I can now perfatape and mud a house, not that it will probably ever help me out in life again but it does make you feel accomplished. We have one more day of sanding and then we just have to wait for the new windows, molding, paint, carpet, and a few odds and ends.

So this house is nothing fancy, its not big, its not new, but I am very excited to have our own little place. So with that being said this it whats being done to the outside: New shutters on the outside windows, New blinds, New doors and Landscaping {imagine my finger pointing underneath the window because I want 3 bushes right under it} flowers to. A bench would look cute on the porch also and anything else I might decide to add.

The rabbit is slowly dying..I think...and hope...maybe. When we got the car, the passenger side door would only open from the inside, therefore I always had to wait for jason to open my door..now his door wont open, only from the inside, great! Its not like we dont get enough glares or looks in this ugly car but now instead of opening a car like a normal human being you get to shove some one in the hatch of the car, which would be me, in between two HUGE semen tanks {not what you are thinking} that make the shocks that you dont have on the car rub every time you hit a pebble which makes you squeek every where you go and your struggling to even fit in between these, now see if you get has many stares from people! oh and the heater smells like maple syrup when you turn it on, maple syrup!

Desperate times call for Desperate measures..

Jason just decided that since times are tough around here that we are going to donate plasma twice a week..we will be rolling in the big dough.. I let him know that I refuse to donate, I am scared of needles {does that suprise you?} Not that I would not like to donate, but you get my drift. So Jason just decided that {HE} will be donating plasma twice a week not me. Thanks for supporting our family your the best!

Tonight he gave himself a hair cut {because you know times are tough} he asked me to trim up around his ears and the back of his neck..by the time I was done with his ears he was bugged by how slow I was making this hair cutting process..so I got upset because I was doing my best and was just trying to make it look better..I walked away like I always do and then he begged me to come back and trim up the back but I refused..and why wouldn't I. Next thing I hear is him with the clippers trying to cut the back of his hair! WOW! dont ever do that one again jason ha! I was mad at first but now I think its hilarious!

So this is what are days are going to consist of for the next couple months til this thing is done!
We are moving into my in laws rental and they are letting us fix it up..its fun because its not our money (but we are greatful for that also) we are tackling this room first and then will move on to the rest! Oh happy makeover days! I am also in the process of redoing a dining table. This is going to be fun.

So jason already scrapped off the cottage cheese ceilings but we are also painting the sheetrock we put up and putting up molding, new windows are going in and then the decorating begins!

Look at the wall paper on the wall! I actually kinda liked it.

Max even had fun with the balloons!

Photography

My sister has wanted to become a photographer so she has began taking pictures. She has done a few baby shoots so far but no couples. Me and Jason got nominated for this I guess but it was fun to go out and get pictures done, especially for free. Dont you think she did a great job? also considering it was her first shoot. I will post more pictures later but I wanted to let people know that if you are looking for a photographer she is not charging as much at this moment and I think she has the talent!
P.S. She also made my header!

Love Story Part Two.

This is how are first date went:

He showed up in a black polo shirt, dark jeans and doc martins. I had my shorts on (trying to show a little leg you know) I thought he might like that, and he did. I curled my hair with such precision, I’m not sure if it could have been more precise. We were going to the movies (ocean 12 or 13, cant remember) I remember placing my hand in just the right position so he could hold it, but he never did. I was a little bummed out about that and I keep questioning weather he was really digging me or not. We ended up getting an ice cream from McDonalds and just talking.

Talking to him was as easy as breathing and within minutes we were laughing. The Date was fun, I have never felt so at ease. When the night came to an end it was obvious that neither of us wanted it to be over. "What are you doing the rest of the weekend?" he asked. It was a Thursday and whatever lame plans I had with friends just melted away...."nothing" was my reply. Looking back I should have played harder to get.

He was going up to Kamas to drop off a load of panels he had built, I gladly tagged along. We talked about what we wanted in life, where we wanted to be, the goals we wanted to accomplish, how many kids we each wanted..at that point I realized something, that I really like this man! I called both my parents while he was out of the truck to tell them how much I really liked him..my dad told me "take it slow Megan" but I couldn’t deny it.

The things I knew by the end of our third date:

He was the most real man I had ever met. No pretenses, he never wears a mask and says and does exactly what he thinks and is. This makes things very interesting.

He is happy to the core and laughs at everything.

I felt like I had known him my whole existence and being together was just a reuniting not a meeting.

I never wanted to be away from him.......ever.

I knew I would marry him.

We never spent a day apart after that third date. 4 weeks later we were engaged and about 5 months later we were married.

When I look back, the day I met my husband was the beginning of a fresh new outlook that created major change in me. Our first year was not easy we have had are arguments and disagreements but I can honestly say that I love this man more each day. We have built a deeply happy life together.
I adore this man!!..............

Want To Hear A Love Story?

2007..right after he asked me to marry him
So while I am young and still remember I want to right down our love story and the day that we got married. Im sure it won’t be as interesting to you as it is to me but here it is.

I was only 17 years old, or young you could say. I was at a very difficult point in my life. I had just broken up with a long time boyfriend. A very hard decision I had to make and at this point I was wondering if I had made the right one. I was about to graduate high school and move out with my best friend. Still I felt very lonely. Getting married was very important to me, I felt like it was going to be the most important decision in my life.

I had a vision in my head of him. He was going to be tall, dark hair, very distinguished and lawyerly (whatever that means). He would be thoughtful, ambitious and most of all he would make the gospel the center of his life. He would be good to the core and a great husband and father.

I wasn't the most beautiful girl, just ok cute. So I obviously wasn't on the radar of those with style, money, and class. But I felt I had lots inside that would make me a good mother, wife and partner.

We had happened to go to a get together were Jason was at. He had introduced himself to us (I laughed because he introduced himself as a gentleman, shaking my hand, and still laugh about it) as we walked out the door, I began telling Jessica (remember she is my friend) that I thought he was really cute. I already had a little crush on him. Time went by, I had moved up to Orem and was having a blast staying up all night and meeting new people. I was no where near wanting to get married at this point. I had got Jason’s number from Jessica; actually I just stole his number out of her phone but still the same concept. I had text him a couple of times only getting the response of “Who is this” both times..oh the awkwardness. So I let the fact of ever going out with him subside.

Then, like a ray of sunshine and bolt of lightning all rolled up into one, he happened in my life..........

I had got a text from Jason Ahlin..call it Jr.High but I was bouncing off the wall with excitement. We were to go on a date the very next day………to be continued.
